Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are the epitome of the perfect lapdog, which makes sense since they were bred to be exactly that for the British nobility! Cavaliers have wonderful, warm, friendly, outgoing personalities and are known for adapting to the lifestyle and energy level of their human companions. This breed is categorized as a toy size by registering agencies like the AKC, but typically gets to be 15-20 lb adult weight. They are a gentle breed that typically has no trouble getting along with other dogs, cats, or children. They come in a variety of colors including Blenheim (white with ruby spots), ruby, black and tan, and tri-color (white with black spots and tan points).
